Leftover Ayam Percik Whomeal Pizza

Assalamualaikum (may peace be onto you)

We have Pizza Hut, Dominos Pizza, California Pizza, San Francisco Pizza (near my house, it looks empty and sad most of the time), Papa John's (a little expensive for the rather small servings) and I am not sure what else have we? They are all pretty much expensive, and we do not know what kinda cheese they use (for all we know they might be some cheese flavoured flour! I dunno!).

But once I discovered this super easy pizza dough recipe, fool-proof, it is only during "darurat" times we will go for all those fast food pizza! hehe. Jaffas and I can eat up this whole big pan of pizza all to ourselves. Yarms. Alhamdulillah.

Recipe: Leftover Ayam Percik Wholemeal Pizza
Prep Time: 30 mins
Cook Time: 25 mins

For the Pizza Dough

  • 2 cups flour (for this recipe I used wholemeal flour)
  • 18gram yeast or approx 2 & 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar (I use raw sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil (I use extra virgin olive oil)
  • 3/4 cup warm water (make sure this the water is warm, not room temperature)
How-to:

  1. Mix all the dry ingredient in a big mixing bowl
  2. Then add in the wet ingredient.
  3. By using hands knead the dough until it is well incorporated (approximately 6 minutes)
  4. Then cover the bowl with cling wrap or tea towel, and leave it in a warm area for about 30 minute. Let it rise to double it size. While waiting, prepare the toppings
  5. After it has risen, roll it out t whatever shape and size and pile on toppings!

For topping

  • 4 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon mixed Italian herbs (I use MasterFoods Spaghetti Bolognese mix - picture below)

  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • then the toppings could be anything. In this recipe, I use shredded ayam percik, onion, fresh mushroom, pineapple, & green bell peppers.
How-to:

  1. Have the rolled-out pizza dough ready
  2. Mix the tomato paste & Italian herbs and spread it on top of the pizza dough
  3. Sprinkle whatever ingredient that need less cooking at the bottom, and most cooking on the top.
  4. For me I go green bell peppers first, mushroom, pineapple, ayam percik, onion.
  5. Then sprinkle the cheeses on top like A LOT (we love love love cheese!)
  6. The pop it in the pre-heated oven, 180 degrees Celsius for 25 mins. Siappp! :)
Owh. This is the Italian Herbs:

Selamat mencuba! :)
